I like to use this on 1 lb ground turkey, but it works great on ground beef as well! I like to add about 3/4 of the seasoning to the meat with 1/4 cup water, then simmer 3 minutes, taste it and decide if you want the rest of the seasoning added. Adjust water as needed.

Combine the following:
1 and 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
3/4 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cumin
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1.0 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp crushed dried oregano
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Brown the turkey or beef with 1/2 cup chopped red onion in a skillet. Once brown, add in mixed spice seasoning per above and 1/4 cup water. ( see note above about holding back on the full amount of seasoning until taste test). Serve on large leaf butter lettuce or on corn tortilla wraps with toppings of choice.
